Summer might be over for kids and parents with kids but for those of us who have empty nests this time of year is perfect to get away. Cammie made the perfect beach card to capture what’s left of summer. Cammie started off by setting the mood with her monochromatic blue background that has been textured with the now retired Large Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. For the beach panel she used the Fabulous Flamingo #143758 Stampin Up stamp set. For the glasses Cammie used the Pocketful of Sunshine #143719 stamp set and the coordinating Pocket framelits #143750. She added the beach thru the lenses. The sentiment is from the now retired So Many Shells stamp set.
OH – IO!!! Today’s post is one that I did in support of the Big Ten championship football game today between The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Wisconsin Badgers. I used my Large Letters Framelits #141712 from Stampin Up to spell out Love ( I did not have a block O). I made the buckeye using circle punches. The peace sentiment came from the Christmas Quilt #144793 stampset and the buckeyes was hand printed and cut out in banner. The background was textured using the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Foldet #143709. Go Bucks!
Today’s post is a double the fun post and are the same layout but swapped out the Designer Series paper and color scheme. The background was textured with the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #133739 from the Stampin Up annual catalog. I then punched 3/4 inch whisper white circles using the Stampin Up 3/4″ circle punch #119873 and glued them onto the textured circles. I added a strip of scrap DSP, 1 1/4″ burlap ribbon #132140 and the Natural Chevron ribbon #132982. For the sentiment, I cut 2 sizes of the Deco Label #130102 and stamped the sentiments.
A great big shout out to my brother in law Brian who’s birthday is today. Today’s post is the card I made for his big day. The card is a very simple masculine card layout. I once again used the large polka dot folder #133739 for the real red layer. I added a scrap piece of Maritime DSP #133696 and added the mustache #133741. The sentiment is from the Label Love #130622 stamp set and matted with a label punched using the coordinating Artisan punch #130920.
Stampin Up has a lot of bundled items in the annual catalog where you can save 15% when ordering the bundled items together. The Label of Love and the Artisan Label Punch are a Stampin Up product bundle (wood#132723 and clear 132722).
Happy Birthday Brian….Be sure and keep the cake out of your stache!
Today I am featuring another card featuring using the yummy Stampin Up Moonlight DSP paper stack #133701. I can’t help myself because I love this stack and especially love the Hello Honey new in color. I really think it goes with all the new in colors and most of Stampin Ups colors. I textured the background with my new favorite textured impressions embossing folder, Large Polka Dot #133739 because I love love love polka dots! I added a strip of the polka dot Moonlight DSP and finished the card with a bow cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock using the Gift Bow die #129977. For the center of the bow, I added a flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack #133787.
