I am finally getting around to using the beautiful Painted Blooms DSP #137784 from the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. I paired the DSP with the Stampin Up Lotus Blossom (retired) and matched the colors of the tulips in the DSP. For the sentiment, I cut a banner using the Party Pennants Die #133732 and finished with a piece of Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Satin Stitched Ribbon #133668.
Be sure to check out the Stampin Up Retirement List for the Party Pennnants Die and Accessories and Stamps. Some of the retired items are deeply discounted but they won’t be around for long so stock up now!
As a bonus, I used the same layout and swapped out the painted bloom DSP for a piece of Irresistibly Yours DSP that was available during sale-a-bration and will be brought back in the 2015-2016 catalog with a new name and different patterns. This paper is fabulous because you can color it using brayering, sponging, spritzing, or any other technique and the embossed pattern will pop up. For the sentiment on this card, I used the hello thinlits #137363 and the coordinating Crazy About You Photopolymer stamp set #137137. Rather than using ribbon I used Washi Tape and bakers twine to complete the look.

The Stampin Up 2015 annual sale-a-bration campaign has some of the best free offerings available in the Sale-a-bration catalog or the newly added SAB item supplement list from now through March 31st. For todays birthday card I used the Lotus Blossom #139143 polymer stamp set to create this beautiful flower. I used 1 color ink (Strawberry Slush) and stamp 3 images on top of one another to create this multilayered flower. It looks complicated but it is not thanks to the way Stampin Up designed the flower images to align perfectly.
I then added the sentiment from the Fabulous Four #134171 stampset and separated each word with a rhinestone colored with the Stampin Up Blendabilities markers. When the main panel was completed I distressed and inked the edges before adding it to a piece of the Stampin Up Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum #133364.
