2014_08_04IMG_3623 If you have been following my recent posts, then you would know that I love the Moonlight DSP paper stack #133701 from the Stampin Up annual catalog.  Today’s card features several of the different papers in the pack and added the bee from the now retired Backyard Basics and the coordinating Backyard Basics Framelits.  The sentiment is from the very popular Stampin Up set called A Dozen Thoughts #131059

Big Polka Dot

2014_07_31IMG_3621 Today I am featuring another card featuring using the yummy Stampin Up Moonlight DSP paper stack #133701.  I can’t help myself because I love this stack and especially love the Hello Honey new in color. I really think it goes with all the new in colors and most of Stampin Ups colors.  I textured the background with my new favorite textured impressions embossing folder, Large Polka Dot #133739 because I love love love polka dots!  I added a strip of the polka dot Moonlight DSP and finished the card with a bow cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock using the Gift Bow die #129977.  For the center of the bow, I added a flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack #133787.

Hello Honey Fun Flower

2014_07_30IMG_3617

When the new 2014-2015 Stampin Up annual catalog debuted in June, the first things I ordered were the fabulous Beautiful Bunch #134282 stamp set and the coordinating Fun Flower punch #133785.  I also fell in love with the Moonlight DSP paper stack #133701 and made today’s card with my new stuff.  I think the Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss rock when used together!  Behind the punched flower I added a flower shaped with the Gold Metallic Bakers Twine #132975.  Love the look!

Oh Happy Day

2014_07_29IMG_3615 I am still recovering from prepping for my Christmas in July workshop so I needed to come up with a quick and easy card.  Today’s card uses the Stampin Up Moonlight DSP paper stack #133701 for the background paper.  I then stamped the Starburst Sayings #133185 stamp set and the coordinating Starburst Framelits #132967 for the focal piece. I added scraps of the new 3/8 ” stitched satin ribbon in hello honey and lost lagoon and a piece of scrap moonlight DSP.

In the Stampin Up annual catalog, the Starburst Sayings and the Starburst Framelits are a bundle and save item.  When purchased together as a single item number (wood #134817 & clear #134818) you can save 15% so go ahead and have a happy day!

Blackberry Bliss

2014_07_18IMG_1620 For today’s card, I wanted to showcase the new in color, blackberry bliss.  I used a sheet of the Moonlight DSP paper stack #133701.   The Stampin Up DSP paper stacks sized perfectly for a card maker because they are  4 1/2 ” X 6 1/2 ” pieces of beautiful double sided paper.  Each paper stack comes in  paper 48 sheets of 12 doubled sided papers. For the main focal point of the card, I stamped the Happy Watercolor (now retired) flower and then used my Blackberry bliss ink and aqua painter pen to color in the flowers.  The sentiment is from the Sassy Salutations #126707. I added the panel to the inside of the On Film #132969 photo frame and added 3 rhinestones colored with the all new Rich Razzleberry blendabilites #131003.

Moonlight Dahlia

2014_07_17IMG_1619 One of my favorite things in the Stampin Up catalog is their beautiful Designer Series Paper and I especially love the DSP paper stacks.  The DSP paper stacks are 48 sheets of 12 doubled sided 4 1/2 ” X 6 1/2 ” paper.  For todays card, I used a sheet of the Moonlight DSP #133701 that showcases 2 of the new Stampin Up in colors: Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey.  I stamped the dahlia from the Regarding Dahlias #130327 in hello honey ink 2 times and then hand cut out the flower.  I added some leaves from the wonderfall stampset (no longer available).   I added a piece of lost lagoon #133672 3/8 inch stitched satin ribbon and the sentiment accented with a flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack #133787.  I added a pearl that was colored with the daffodil blendabilites marker assortment #130998.

Bold and Beautiful

2014_07_09IMG_1624 For today’s card I combined the Moonlight DSP Paper stack and the Blended Bloom #135906 single stamp.  The Blended Bloom stamp  was one of many stamps that were designed for the new Stampin Up catalog to use with the  new Stampin Up Blendabilities markers.  I used the Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry blendabilities sets to create this beautiful flower.  I stamped it, colored it and hand cut it out twice so I could layer the flower.  I added the new 3/8″ Stitched Satin ribbin in Blackberry Bliss #133668.  I added the sentiment from the A Dozen Thoughts #131059.

The blendabilities are alcohol based ink markers that come in a family of 3- Light, medium and dark.  The blending with these pens is flawless and smooth.  As an added bonus the pens come in 12 colors and they match all the Stampin Up inks, cardstocks and embellishments.  Right now you can only purchase  6 color families (Coastal Cabana #131000, Cherry Cobbler #130995, Daffodil Delight #130998, Old Olive #130999, Pumpkin Pie #130997 and Rich Razzleberry #131003) and the Skin Tone assortment of 6 markers.  The other 6 colors will be available for purchase beginning on August 1.
