Birth month is nearly over and that makes me sad. Birthdays are the best and it is wonderful to make someone happy with a handmade card and even mail it the old fashioned way. Today’s card is simple with little stamping. I textured the Concord grape (old color) with the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that can be found on the Stampin Up Clearance Rack. I used the retired Mustache die to make the jester had and a section of the Decorative Label#120907. I stamped the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 sentiment on a punched Modern Label (retired) piece and am now ready to party!
I love the bright color combination that Cammie chose for today’s birthday post. She used a retired Stampin Up folder to texture the background; although I think the new Confetti #140592 Textured Impressions Embossing Folder would be a perfect substitution. In the center of the card Cammie stamped the sunburst image from the Kinda Eclectic #135347 stamp set and then began building her gorgeous flower using pieces of the now retired mustache framelits die. To finish, Cammie cut the happy sentiment from the Hello You Thinlits #137363.
It’s been a rough start to the new year and it is just a few hours old! Today’s late post still wishes you a happy new year! I love this card I made to bring in the new year. It just screams for a fancy celebration. The masquerade mask is made using the now retired Stampin Up mustache framelit and the Chalk Talk Framelits #129983 for the eye holes. I used the new coming soon blushing bride and the dazzling diamonds Glimmer paper to cut the festive feathers using the now retired Four Feathers Framelits. I added a bow using the Silver metallic thread #138402. The happy is cut using the Hello You Thinlits die #137363. The new year sentiment is from retired Good Greetings stampset. I added some randon colored sequins from my stash add just enough bling for a festive new year.
Happy Birthday to my neighbor and manly friend Sergio! Today’s post is a clean and simple layout featuring the Stampin Up Lullaby DSP #133695 as the background paper. The sentiment is from a past my paper pumpkin kit. To man up the card and I added the mustache cut from the mustache framelit #133741 in the Stampin Up annual catalog.
A great big shout out to my brother in law Brian who’s birthday is today. Today’s post is the card I made for his big day. The card is a very simple masculine card layout. I once again used the large polka dot folder #133739 for the real red layer. I added a scrap piece of Maritime DSP #133696 and added the mustache #133741. The sentiment is from the Label Love #130622 stamp set and matted with a label punched using the coordinating Artisan punch #130920.
Stampin Up has a lot of bundled items in the annual catalog where you can save 15% when ordering the bundled items together. The Label of Love and the Artisan Label Punch are a Stampin Up product bundle (wood#132723 and clear 132722).
Happy Birthday Brian….Be sure and keep the cake out of your stache!
