Great Big Birthday Balloon

2014_09_28IMG_5022 Nothing beats pink and black together and pair that with a gigantic balloon and you have a an instant birthday card.  The black background is textured with my new favorite textured impressions embossing folder- Large Polka Dot #133739.  I made the balloon using the Ovals Framelits #129381 and a heart punched from the Itty Bitty Accents #133787 and wrapped a piece of whisper white Bakers Twine #124262for the string.  I added the sentiment from the Hip Notes #133504 stampset and some banners cut using the Banners framelits #132173 and added 2 pieces of ribbon (melon mambo 1/4 ” cotton #134566 and tangelo twist 3/8″ Stitched Satin #133669).

I will definitely switch the balloon color to a easily transform this into a masculine birthday card.

Hey there chick

2014_04_18IMG_1188Of all my Easter cards I made this year, I think this is my favorite.  I think it is because I love punch art.  Technically this is framelit art coupled with punches but I love it just the same.  When I saw this piece of DSP from the Watercolor wonder DSP, I knew I wanted to do an Easter Egg with it.  The basic egg shape was cut from the Ovals collection framelits#129381 and then I hand cut the “cracked” egg.   The cute little chick (head and wing) is made from the Starburst framelits #132967 in the Stampin Up occasions catalog. The eyes are punched from the Owl Builder punch #118074 and then I used the fun googley eyes (on the Stampin Up Clearance rack),  The beak is a modified Mosaic punch #131267. I added a bow in her hair using the now retired 1/8 ” taffeta daffodil ribbon.  The Hey there sentiment is from Just Saying #133203 stampset and the coordinating Word Bubbles framelits #132968.  The Just Saying and the Word Bubbles are a bundle and save item (wood #134819 and clear #134820).  When purchasing them together you can save 15%.

Sweet Sylvester

2013_09_20DSCI0426Hello Sylvester!  Cammie has done it again by creating punch art using simple shapes and Stampin Up framelits and punches. The Ovals Framelit collection #129381 the suite of oval punches and a whole lotta of imagination and creativity allowed Cammie to create this super cute card.  Love how she swapped the colors to make it gender specific!
