Today’s post is a bright and fun card featuring the new Large Polka Dot folder #133739 from the Stampin Up annual catalog for the card base. The polka dot folder has become my go to folder when creating textured backgrounds. I then used the all new Party Pennants XL die #133732 to create the 3 banners. I added the stamped Tangelo Twist flowers using the Flower Shop #130942 stamp and coordinating Pansy Punch #130698. I added the cute new Itty Bitty Accents #133787 for the Hello Honey centers and a basic pearl to complete the card.
Lots of Layering makes a crafter happy especially when it is white on white! Cammie rocked this wedding card with so many layers and so much texturing that I don’t know where to begin. So I am not going to go into the details but this gorgeous wedding card features the now retired Mr & Mrs stampset and several of the flower punches (Blossom #125603, Pansy#130698, Petite Petals #133322 & Boho Blossoms #119858) still available in the current Stampin Up catalog. The flowers were textured and layered to create a beautiful bouquet for the perfect wedding card.
Today’s post features my favorite Little Leaves sizzlet that is no longer available. I was so sad that this little guy was no longer available. But good news is that the new Flower Frenzy Bigz L die has a leaf included with a bunch of great flowers that will serve as a nice substitute. YAY I have that die on order and plan to use it soon.
The background of this card is textured with the Arrows textured impressions embossing folder #132187. I then used the Starburst Framelit 3132967 used to anchor my floral design. I used the Pansy Punch #130698, the Petite Petals Punch #133322 and the now retired itty bitty Punch for the center. Good News… there is a new itty bitty accents punch in the new Stampin Up catalog that will be a great substitute for flower centers. I completed the card with a hand cut banner and appropriate sentiment.
The Stampin Up sale-a-bration is over and I cannot help myself with creating with the Good as Gold card kit. The Good as Gold kit was my favorite SAB free item and I stocked up on it and have forced myself to use it until it is gone. The card kit is great as is but I have really challenged myself to use it in a different way. For this card I just cut the Good as Gold card in half and used it as my main layer and matted it on basic black cardstock. I then added a hand cut banner from the envelope line and added one of the banners from the kit. I punched and inked 2 Blossom Flowers #125603 and 1 pansy from calypso coral cardstock. The basic black center is punched from the 7/8″ scallop circle punch #129404 and I added pistachio little leaves sizzlits #114511 to create the stunning flower. Love this card and just may adapt it for Mother’s Day cards.
I wanted to challenge myself to doing a simple 1 layer card and I almost succeeded. I don’t know what it is but everytime I want a single layer card it does not work for me. Once I added the punched Pansy #130698 flower accented with pearls I was pleased. I masked off the sides of this card to create a stripe dead center, and then sponged pistachio ink down the middle and the used the Stampin Up Flower Shop #130942 to randomly stamp images and added the sentiment from the Happy Day #130297 to complete this fun all purpose card.
Nothing is better than Black and White or in this case Black and Ivory to make a fun all purpose card. I used the SU striped textured impressions folder to serve as my guide to cut strips of the fabulous Modern Medley DSP #126926 between each stripe I then used the Flower shop #130942 stampset and the Coordinating Pansy punch #130698 to make a perfect bold statement on this card. I added a birthday sentiment and love the way it all came together.
For today’s card I was inspired by the sample on page 37 of the Stampin Up catalog. When I get in a rut and don’t feel like being creative, or if I have a Stampin Up stamp set, punch or some other embellishment that I want to use, I browse one of the Stampin Up catalogs (past or present) and look for inspiration. I did not have the Thanks and Hello stampset so I just used one of my own and the Stamp a ma jig #101049 to position & align the stamped image exactly where I want it. To create the sunflower, I used a scrap laying on my table and the new Pansy punch #130698, the Bird builder #117191punch for the leaf and a strip of scrap garden green cardstock. To be honest I thought this card was going to be a snap to make but since I had to align each thanks and changed color with each thanks it took a little bit of time but the end result was great.
