Today’s card is a super cute and quick card that showcases the Patio Party DSP #126916 from the Stampin Up Annual catalog. I love the big polka dots and all the papers in this line because it screams birthday fun. I stamped the cake twice, once on whisper white and once on DSP that I cut out and layered on the cake. Punched out the cake using the 1 3/8″ circle 3119860 and applied it to a midnight muse 1 3/4 inch scallop circle #119854. Finished it off with a hand cut happy birthday pennant flag,
The wonderful thing about the Stampin Up DSP is that the paper is pretty enough to standalone and use on a card. Today’s card is one that I created in less than 5 minutes because it is all about the Patio Party DSP #126916. The hardest part of this card is deciding which section of the DSP I wanted to cut to create the background. Once I did that I just added a piece of the summer starfruit 3/8″ stitched ribbon. (BTW. the 3/8′ stitched ribbon is free with every $40 in qualifying sales through 30 September). I punched an elegant butterfly #127526 and added some rhinestone bling to complete this 5 minute wonder!
Go ahead and challenge yourself to create a 5 minute card and share it with me and I will post it on this blog.
Coming home from Gigi’s Scrapbooking Retreat after a girls weekend full of birthday fun and scrapbooking and card making. This is the card I made to house Kim’s annual Starbucks gift card that I get her and showcases the Patio Party DSP #126916 from the Stampin Up Annual Catalog. The front of the card uses 3 selections from the Patio Party DSP and Petite Pocket Bigz XL die #123131 and is velcro closed so that it safely secures the gift card. I made a ribbon bow from the In color, Primrose Petals and attached the bright little dahlia in midnight muse#127556 and added a gift tag.
