I made this card before the all new Detailed Floral Thinlits came out. It would have been much easier then the way I did mine using the Bloomin Heart Thinlits #140621. To create the lacy background, I cut 4 hearts from the Bloomin Heart Thinlits and then overlayed them on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using the now retired Perfect Pennant stampset and mounted it on Wisteria cardstock. I finished by adding a bouquet of flowers cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits #140625 and the coordinating Botanical Blooms #140757 stamp set.
Today’s card is something I normally don’t do because I feel a bit challenged by it and that is combining multiple stamp sets to make a card. For the background piece, I used the new Lucky Star #135817 textured impressions embossing folder from the Stampin Up holiday catalog. I then starting combing stamp sets for a fun masculine birthday card. For this card I used 3 stampsets: Be the Star #135734 and the coordinating Star Framelits #133725, Work of Art #134114 and Perfect Pennants #133230

The new 2014-2015 Stampin Up catalog has introduced a new alcohol based markers called Stampin Blendabilites. The blendabilites come in several color combinations and each set has a light medium and dark pen to use to blend the colors. For today’s card, I used the bold and beautiful Blended Bloom #135906 stamp and the Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil delight blendabilites to create the rich flower with no streaks! I colored the image twice and cut it out to create a life like image. I used the Perfect Pennants stampset #133230. I finished off the card with a piece of the yummy Tangelo Twist 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon to create a clean and simple look.
I saw the layout for today’s card in the Stampin Success magazine. Stampin Success is a great idea magazine exclusively available to Stampin Up demonstrators. I decided to CASE (Copy and Steal Everything) the layout and added the Kaleidoscope DSP #132995 strip and added the sentiment and stars on the whisper white cardstock using the Perfect Pennants #133230 stamp set. I used the fringe scissors to create a fun and festive edge on the card. All the stuff to make this card (aside from the coordinating card stock) is from the Stampin Up occasions catalog.
For today’s card, I created a brayed nighrtime sky using 3 shades of blues (marina mist, indigo,& night of navy) and then I stamped the star from the Banner Blast (now retired) in the metallic gold encore ink #132141. I wrapped it with the gold bakers twine #132975 and stamped the Make a Wish sentiment from the Perfect Pennants #133230 stampset.

Today‘s post is a fun featuring products in the Stampin Up Occasions (products available though 1 June) and the Stampin Up Sale-a-bration (free items available through 31 March) catalogs. The Occasions catalog is a supplement catalog to the Stampin Up annual catalog and contains new and fun items and the sale-a-bration catalog has items that you earn for free with every $50 spent in regular merchandise from either the occasions or annual catalogs.
I kept the design simple on this card by framing the pretty piece of DSP from the Sweet Sorbet collection#133521 (free item in the SAB catalog) inside the filmstrip cut from the On Film framelits#132969 in the occasion catalog. I used the chalktalk framelits #129983 and stamped the Perfect Pennants #133230 sentiment on the tag. I randomly scattered flowers punched from the Itty Bitty Shapes #118309 and accented with a rhinestone.
At first I was not happy with this card and I don’t know why and then I put it aside and went to bed. The next day I woke up, saw the card and was happy with the turnout and decided to add it to my SAB workshop.
