Happy Birthday to our friend and customer, Sherry Rider. Sherry loves to collect old cameras so I made her a card using 2 images from the now retired Stampin Up Around the World stamp set. The paper is from the Stampin Up Flashback (now retired) stamp set. I added the sentiment from the Petite Pairs #122497 stamp set.
Hope you have a picture perfect birthday Sherry!

Becky Higgins, founder of Project Life and has an exclusive line of Project Life stuff wanted to put something together for the Swapp family that may, in even the very smallest way, bring comfort over the coming weeks, months, and years. Heidi and Eric Swapp’s 16-year-old son Cory passed away very unexpectedly. Heidi Swapp is also a big name in the scrapbooking industry and a contributor to Project Life but more importantly is a friend to Becky Higgins.
Nothing can take away the sting and the sorrow that they must be feeling, but to know that they are so very loved is indeed a help to Heidi and her family during this very tender time. Through Social Media Becky asked anyone, anywhere to make a 4×4 card that will be later compiled in an 8X8 album. The idea is that the Swapps will have something tangible to hold in their hands. Something they can flip through as they read messages upon messages of encouragement and love from family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and even strangers. Basically anyone and everyone who wants to express their condolences.
Today’s post is the 4×4 card that I made for the outpouring of love and support for a family that I don’t know; although I took a class from Heidi years ago at CKU(Creating Keepsake University) in Orlando Florida and was amazed by her creativity. My card was made using the Stampin Up Watercolor Wings #139424 stampset. I added a banner that was notched using the Banner Triple Punch 138292. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs #128706 stampset.

Today’s card is the card that I sent to my Uncle who has a St. Patrick’s day birthday. I used the retired Stampin Up lips stamp with Garden Green ink to stamp the sexy green lips. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stampset #127497. The banner was created by cutting various widths of print poetry DSP paper stack and hand notching the strip to create a whimsy banner. I added the strip of starfruit double stitched ribbon.
I think that having a St. Pattys day birthday would be second best to a Halloween birthday but since I celebrate birthmonth in March then I can celebrate St. Pattys too.
Today’s card is made using mostly new products from the Stampin Up Spring catalog. I started with a summer starfruit base and embossed it with my new favorite textured impressions folder- Honeycomb #129378. I then took 3 pieces of coordinating DSP from the Print Poetry DSP paper pack #129312 and cut them using the Labels #125598 and the Apothecary #127003 Framelits. I added the bitty butterfly #129406 and the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stampset #122497. I loved the way this turned out and I made it for my cardswaps for the sympathy swap.
