I love everything about this card especially the layout to use up a bunch of scraps of coordinating DSP. Even though all the supplies to make this card are now retired including the Garden Impressions DSP, the Picture Perfect Birthday and Birthday Cheer Stampin Up stamp sets, I plan to use this design in the future.

I am so sad that the How Sweet it is DSP retired from Stampin Up. The paper was perfect for birthdays! Also retired is the Large Letters Dies and the Picture Perfect stamp set for the candle. I added a piece of striped ribbon to add some additional texture.
46916 To set the scene for today’s card Cammie used the giraffe print die from the Animal Friends #146823 Dies from Stampin Up. She also added a strip of DSP from the Tropical Escape DSP #146916. Cammie then used the Animal Expedition DSP #146902 to die cut the giraffe and also hand cut out the cute little frog. The leaves were cut using the Animal Friends dies and the sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday #146916 stamp set.
Happy birthday to me!!! To create this fun birthday card- I cut six pieces of card stock in a rainbow of colors. I then adhered each piece to Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and sprinkled them with Dazzling Diamonds. After all pieces were coated with the Dazzling Diamonds, I adhered them to a piece of Whisper White card stock that measures 3″ x 4-1/4″. When adhering the cake layers down- I left a 1/4″ border on the left side o so I could add frosting later. I also left a small gap between each color to give the appearance of icing between the cake layers. To frost the cake I used the Shimmery White Embossing Paste. I first applied a thin layer to the 1/4″ border on the left side of the cake layers. For the icing on top of the cake, I eyeballed a wedge to give the appearance of a cake slice and trimmed away any excess card stock from the top and iced the top with the Shimmery White Embossing Paste in a swirling motion so that it looked realistic.
To complete the card, I added the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday #145519 and cropped it with a circle punch and scallop circle mat.
For today’s birthday card, I CASEd the card on page 120 of the Stampin Up annual catagog featuring the Tropical Escape Product Suite that includes the Tropical Escape #146916, the Tropical Chic #146753 and the coordinating Tropical Framelits #146831. I added a piece of the Granny Apple Green Textured Ribbon #146920 and the sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday #145519.
Today’s bright birthday card features the bright and cheerful Pineapple Punch striped paper from the Stampin Up 2018-2020 DSP paper collection. The rest of the card was created mostly using carried over Christmas supplies. The sunflower was created using the Christmas Bulb Builder #148013 Punch and the now retired Making Everyday Bright stamp set. The sentiment is from the Merry Christmas Thinlits #147912 and the Picture Perfect Birthday #145519 stamp set.
I had been meaning to attempt to make the never ending card and I made it a birthday themed one using the the Broadway Bound #145519 DSP paper collection, leftovers from the Broadway Star Paper Pumpkin kit and the Picture Perfect Birthday#145519 stamp set. A never ending card is not as hard as I thought to make but it sure is fun to open each panel.
The Picture Perfect Birthday#145519 Stampin Up stampset that I used to make this card has been one of my most used ever stampsets. I would have to say that almost every birthday card I made last year ( over 200) I used it for at least the inside greetings so it is a set that is truly a must have. The bows were stamped and then hand cut to create a simple and fun birthday card.
Today’s post is another example of the power of the paper! This retired Picture Perfect Party DSP screams birthday so no other accents are needed. I added the textured layer with the Simple Stripes #145648 Textured Impressions Embossing Folder beneath the DSP panel and then layered the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday #145519 stamp set.
