For Cammie’s August workshops she packaged all the card kits in a beautifully decorated Stampin Up Standard Storage Case #119105. She created layers using the Timeless Textures #140514 stampset. The main piece is stunning and features layered Poppies (retired Pleasant Poppies stamp) but it actually was designed as a card so that it can be taken out and added to a card base. What a great idea! The August cards we made in class were equally stunning and will be posted soon.
The beautiful Pleasant Poppies #129499 background stamp from the Stampin Up annual catalog is the main focus of today’s post. Prior to embossing the poppies, Cammie used the direct to paper method with 2 shades of Stampin Up green ink. She then embossed the poppies and then colored the poppies with the Stampin Up blendabilites pens. The poppy panel was added to a triple layered card and accented with a piece of the Tangelo Twist 3/8 ” satin stitched ribbon #133669 to create this pretty all occasions card.
Today’s card is a layered beauty that Cammie made for an all occasion card. The background for the main panel of this card is Island Indigo cardstock textured with the Stampin Up Mosaic Folder #129984 and then brayered with pool party ink. Cammie then cut a Window frame in Mambo cardstock using the Window Framelits #129021 and textured it with the Square Lattice folder #119976. She then cut a smaller window in whisper white and sponged some Island Indigo ink and stamped 1 section of the Pleasant Poppies stamp #129499 and colored the image with inks and blender pens. To complete the look, Cammie used the Mosaic Madness stamp set #1330249 and the coordinating Mosaic punch #131267 to create a line of popped images across the center of the card front. If you like the Mosaic Madness stampset be sure to bundle it with the Mosaic punch and save 15%.
Today’s card is an all occasion card that Cammie made. This card makes me think of spring. Cammie used the Stampin Up Pleasant Poppies stamp set #129499. She sponged the sky and grass. To complete the card panel she added a hand drawn wire and a cute bird from the Everything Eleanor stampset #124164. The mounted panel is layered on top of a strip of summer starfruit cardstock textured with the Fancy Fan folder #127751 and a Baja breeze card base and bow.
Poppies Poppies! I love poppies and was so glad when the Pleasant Poppies #129499 stampset did not retire and is still available in the new Stampin Up 2013-2014 annual catalog.. The base of this card is crumb cake and then the I stamped the card and embossed it using whisper white embossing powder. I then used my poppy parade marker and colored the flowers and added a ribbon and bow. I added a sentiment and voila card is complete.
