Fresh Prints Gate Fold

2014_08_29IMG_3643 Today’s post is a 2fer card.  Same design 2 looks.  For this card, I used the now retired Fresh Prints paper stack for both panels on both cards.  The gatefold card was created using the Stampin Up envelope punch board #133774. I added a black flower by stacking several layers from the flower Frenzy Die #133728.  The sentiment is from the Really Good Greetings #130333 stamp set and is placed on top of a basic black piece for Chevron Ribbon #130010.

I truly love this color combination and can attest that black really works with everything.

Retro birthday

2014_04_09IMG_1080 Happy birthday to my husband, Brad.  To honor his big day, I made him this “stamp free” card.  Don’t get me wrong I love stamps but sometimes it is just liberating to make a card that has no stamping.  Plus Stampin Up makes it so easy because everything in the Retro Fresh  collection in the Stampin Up occasions catalog coordinates with the cardstock in the Stampin Up catalog.  For this card, I used the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags #133526 and paired it with the Retro Fresh DSP #132993.

The funny thing about this card is that I overlooked the Retro Fresh tags in the occasions catalog because I was close minded and thought it was just for the intended use in the Retro Fresh journal.  I was inspired by a sample on fellow demonstrators blog using a different tag and went to the occasions catalog and saw the Retro Fresh tags and decided to make an entire workshop from these cute little finds.  So I will be posting lots of my creations with this fun set.
