When I ran across the single serve cakes in a cup I bought a box of 4 of every flavor and then went to town on the creative packaging complete with a candle wrapped around the ribbon. I used the Stampin Up acetate card boxes and tucked a cake packet inside with some shredded paper. I wrapped a piece of It’s My Party DSP (retired) around the box and tied it with a piece of ribbon and a candle. I then created the accent piece by brayering the backside of the now retired foil snowflake doily with melon mambo ink. The stamped image is from the now retired See Ya Later stamp stamp set

Today’s card is a tribute to the rainy days that we have had lately and it is a welcomed rain that helps beat the summer heat. I used the clouds textured folder to texture the card base layer. I made the white clouds using the Word Bubbles #132968. I used the bitty banners framelits#129267 to cut the daffodil banner to anchor the sentiment from the now retired stampset See Ya Later.. For the main focal point panel, I stamped the flowers from Embellished Events #126497 and then stamped the boot in daffodil ink from the Bootiful Occasions #126597. I restamped and embossed the boot in white on pacific point cardstock. I cut the boot out and pieced it on top of the stamped yellow boot to complete the card.
Well today is the last day of another successful Stampin Up Sale-a-bration. You have until midnight Mountain Time to place an order to receive the free SAB items. I thought I would say goodbye to SAB with today’s card featuring mostly SAB items. For the swampy effect, I used the Gorgeous Grunge #130517 to stamp the background of this card using monochromatic color-pool party ink on pool party cardstock. I added a strip of sweet sorbet DSP #133521 (free SAB item) to create a “lily pad” I then created the alligator using the Petite Pennants Builder #122362 punch for the head, the teeth were cut using the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die #120893 and the eyelids were punched using the Owl Builder #118074 punch. For the body I used the Chalk Talk #129983 and stamped the See Ya Later #133533 (Free SAB Item) and then textured the head and body with the Decorative Dots #133520 (Free SAB item) to give it the alligator feel. I got really creative by wrapping the DSP around the back of the card and added his tail punched from Petite Pennants Builder punch. I think this made for a cute surprise and a fond farewell for the Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration. See ya later!
Happy St.Patrick’s Day and it is a lucky day because you will be getting 2 cards today in one post. How’s that for luck? The first card is a real creative gem by Cammie. She got her shamrock on by using the Ampersand textured folder #132970 from the Stampin Up occasions catalog and then colored the giant Ampersand with a basic black marker. She added the Keep Calm sentiment from the now retired Keep Calm stamp set. She used an alphabet set for the Rock and then made a shamrock from the retired triple heart punch but any heart would work.
The second card is one of my St. Patrick’s Day designs. I used all the Oval Framelits from the Stampin Up annual catalog and layered the rainbow of colors on top of one another. Once I had all 6 layers, I cut the oval in half to get the rainbow. Warning it is really hard to cut through that many layers with a std trimmer so I pulled out my big table top trimmer to get the job done with a clean cut. I made the clouds using the Word Bubbles framelits #132968 from the Stampin Up occasions catalog. I added the sentiment in one of the clouds from the See Ya later #133533 stampset (free item) from the Sale-a-Bration catalog. The gray background (smokey slate) was textured using the now retired rainy day clouds textured folder.
Hope you day continues to bring you lots of luck and plenty of green beer!
Happy Last day of February and the Stampin Sale-a-bration is in full swing. You still have 31 more days to take advantage of the Sale-a-bration and earn free product from the Sale-a-bration catalog for every $50 spent in Stampin Up merchandise. Today’s card is a super cute card Cammie made using some of the sale-a-bration products. Both the background DSP and the DSP strip are from the Sweet Sorbet #133521 DSP SAB collection. The sentiment is stamped from the See Ya Later #133533 stampset. To accent the sentiment, Cammie made an alligator from punch art. The face is punched from the Petite Pennants Builder punch#122361 and textured with the Decorative Dots (free SAB item) folder #133520. She used her fringe scissors 133325 to make the gnarly teeth. She added 2 eyes bunched from the Itty Bitty Shapes 3118309 and added the fun googly eyes.
See ya later February and hopefully winter too.
Today is another day for a birthday shout out this week. Today is our beautiful niece Alexandra’s 19th birthday. So what better to celebrate your birthday than with a cute card complete with a cupcake? Cammie used a strip of Sweet Sorbet DSP (free SAB item) #133521 as the inspiration for this card. She hand cut the scalloped edge and placed that on top of a cantaloupe piece of cardstock textured with the Decorative Dots #133520 (free SAB item). The focal piece is the silver foil #132178 starburst cut using the Starburst framelit #132967 from the Stampin Up occasions catalog and then she cut a whisper white circle using the circle framelit #130911 and stamped the sentiment from the See Ya Later #133536 (free SAB item) stampset. Cammie punched and assembled the cupcake using the Stampin Up Cupcake Builder punch #121807 and finished the card with a Pool Party bow from the Twine in the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (Free SAB item).

Stampin Up’s MDS software and downloads make it so easy to design cards in a snap. Today’s post is a card that I made in under 10 minutes from start to finish using the free digital ensemble called One Big Sale-a-bration 2014, #134976, in the Sale-a-bration catalog. This ensemble is everything in the Sale-a-bration catalog in digital form. I was inspired by the Lacoste like alligator from the digital brush called See Ya Later to make today’s card. Using the crop feature, I cut out the alligator, changed his color to garden green and resized him to randomly place him on the sahara sand background. I then filled the pennant shape with a piece of the digital Sweet Sorbet DSP and colored the sentiment using the coloring tool inside the white oval and matted the oval underneath. Done!
Don’t be fooled by the title of this post because I used the crop feature to take a bite out of the see ya later stamp.
