Summer is about here and that means its time for some beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets. To get ready, Cammie has definitely mastered the sunsets using her brayer techniques. She has figured out just the right blend of Stampin Up inks to create the perfect sunrises and sunsets. To complete the look, the card on the left uses the Fabulous Florets stampset #123027 and the one on the right uses the Serene Silhouettes #127324.
Cammie has been receiving a lot of inquiries about teaching a brayer class and she is in the process of developing the class to learn the brayering technique. The cost for the brayer class is $100 and will include all the consumable supplies and tools you will need to use in the class and take home so you can continue to create beautiful brayered cards at home. The first class will be held Sat August 3 in Columbus Ohio. If you are interested in attending contact Cammie directly at email@example.com for further details and pre-payment.
This card features another inking technique called direct to paper. The yellow sky was created simply by taking a daffodil delight ink pad as swiping it directly on the white cardstock. The lake was masked off and then brayered with shade of blue inks. the greenery was created using the daubering and sponging techniques. Finally the floral image from the Serene Silhouettes stampset #127324 was embossed in black and then the panel was matted on black and applied to the pool party base and squares.
This card was initially intended for a pretty birthday card for a pretty girl and then Cammie liked it so much that she used it for both a sympathy and a Valentine card. This card is gorgeous and is another one of Cammie’s brayer cards. She created the sky using pretty in pink, mambo and rose red inks. The grass is done with Serene Silhouettes #127322 in old olive ink and smudged with always artichoke and old olive inks. The hearts are punched using the triple heart punch (retired). The scene is then cut with the new oval framelits #129381 from the Stampin Up Spring catalog. This card is breathtaking.
This card may look familiar but based on popular demand and bribing from her sisters and customers Cammie entered the PPA challenge by changing the colors from yestersday’s post to the PPA color sheme of Pool Party, Primrose Petals and Real Red she came up with a real gem. Leave a comment for the one you like best.
I about flipped out when Cammie shared this card with me. I think it is absoluting stunning and pray that this is the card I get from her for Valentines Day! The 3 paneled card is the pefect layout to show case the flamingos from the Valentine Defined set (retired Stampin Upstamp set) and the Serene Silhouttes #127322. The color combo of melon mambo and rich razzleberry brayered on whisper white to create a stunning sunset with a heart shaped moon really brings this card to life. The flamingo stampset is one that I never got around to ordering but I may be borrowing in the future.
Today’s post is another one of Cammies cards using the Michelle Zindorf brayer techniques. If you look closely the beautiful beach scene has seagrass stamped using the Stampin Up Serene Silhouettes #127324 stampset. The crab is stamped using the By the Sea Shore #126532 stampset, then hand cut and popped on the shoreline to give it life.
When you have time to play with your brayer you can create beautiful backgrounds and have fun in the process. If you have any brayered cards send them to me as a JPG file and I will share the love.
