As far as winters go, this one has been more mild than normal and not sick of the white stuff yet but I would prefer a mild snow free winter. Cammie made this card for one of her Christmas cards but I think it is perfect for a winter blues pick me up card.
As with most of Cammie’s cards she brayered the background and added the tree scape using the now retired Stampin Up Wonderland stamp set. For the melting snowman Cammie used the Sprinkles of Life Stamp set #139971 and the coordinating Tree Builder punch #138295 from Stampin Up. The accents for the snowman came from the retired Snow Days stamp set.
I made these cute snowman nuggets for family and friends. I used the Hershey nuggets and wrapped a 1″ strip of whisper white cardstock around teach nugget. The face and buttons were stamped with the now retired Snow Day stamp set before wrapping the cardstock around the nugget. For the hats, I cut off the fingers of cheap winter gloves or shower gloves and added it to the top nugget. I built the snowmen and then put them in a cellophane bag and tied it off with a colorful twist tie.
These were super cute and easy to make. The hardest part was finding the gloves to use.

Happy birthday to my dearest friend Lisa. I made this card for her birthday in hopes that her Christmas break from teaching got extended. And given the weather in central Ohio being the coldest and snowiest in 20 years I think I made a wise choice! I paired the now retired Snow Day stamp set that was not carried over from the Stampin Up Holiday catalog with the Yippee-Skippee #131344 stampset from the Stampin Up annual catalog.
Believe it or not this card is a single layered card with no embellishments but it is so fun to see the snowmen come alive in a snow dance that children of all ages do to get school cancelled.
Today is the last day to purchase anything from the Stampin Up Holiday catalog. Today’s card features a super cute stamp set called Snow Day #131892 from the holiday catalog. I also used the Labels Collection Framelits #125598 from the annual catalog to cut the window. Then I just created my snowman and snow scene and was done. Quickest snowman I ever built!
I got the picture of Cammie’s finished card before I received it in person and again the picture does not do this card justice. It is beyond spectacular in person. The top layer of the card is a snowflake that Cammie cut to create a window effect to the beautiful winter beach scene beneath. Cammie created snow caps using the masking technique and sponging she then embossed the grass from the Wetlands #126697 stampset and then used thin pen strokes to create the water. She layered the snowflake window on top to create this fantastic view. The sentiment is from the Snow Day stamp set #131895
