Here is another card from my stockings were hung workshop. It turned out super cute but had a lot of steps but does a great job showcasing punch art. You can’t tell from the photo but when the card is open the fireplace is on the inside. The mantle is an elongated topnote and a 1/2 piece of trim at the top. Both mantle pieces were stamped with the wood grain #117100 background stamp. The stockings were punched using the Stampin Up Stocking Builder punch from real red and whisper white cardstock. The cuffs, heels and toes were punched from the glimmer paper (red #121790 and silver #124005)using the stocking punch and adhered to the stocking base. The card base is from the confetti white cardstock embossed with square lattice embossing folder #119976 and has a rectangular piece cut away from it. The fire is made using the word window punch #119857 for the logs and the flames are the wing from the bird builder punch #117191 and the toe from the stocking punch.

I love a card that is monochromatic and Stampinup makes it easy because everything matches-inks, ribbons, paper etc. Todays card focus’ on the Holiday Mini Catalog and was featured at my stockings were hung… workshop. I made this card using the Frostwood Lodge DSP #124002 for the staircase and then stamped 3 stockings from the Stitched stockings #123784 stampset and then punched the, with the coordinating stocking builder punch #124095 to create a very cute card.
Well after much deliberation, we decided to not drive 5 hours south to Kanab UT for Stampin Up’s Rubber Park. We are saving that for our next convention trip. So instead, we are trekking to the Great Salt Lake in search of the Spiral Jetty and possibly some famous Utah squeaky cheese! We are also planning to hit the Shooting Star Saloon-Utah’s Oldest Saloon. I’ll post pix tonight. Until then here is a little Holiday teaser!
