In case you did not know, today is national lazy day. So I guess that gives us the right to kick back and do nothing. I did not intentionally make this card with lazy day in mind but it is perfect to go with the day. Life is truly a beautiful day when there is sunshine, a drink in a red solo cup and a lounge chair. Perfect ingredients to kick back and people watch! This card features the Color Me Autumn DSP that is now retired from Stampin Up. For the main panel, I created the scene using the swoosh for the dirt from the Sheltering Tree # 137163, the chair, drink, and sentiment from the Colorful Seasons #143726 and the sun is from the Swirly Bird #141749 stamp sets all from Stampin Up. The extra bit of yumminess on this card is the new 1/4 inch copper trim from Stampin Up. It is so wonderful to work with because of the loose weave and zig zag stitching!

Today is a simple holiday card in a non traditional color scheme. I used the Stampin Up Swirly Bird #141749 stamp set to created the ornaments, I added a piece of silver cording and the sentiment from the Good Greetings (retired) stamp set on the piece punched with the retired Washi Tape punch. Easy Peasy!
Every once in a while it is nice to have a pick me up card to send an encouraging note or let people know that you love them. The Stampin Up Weather Together #141543 stamp set is the perfect set to brighten someones day. Cammie stamped the umbrella pieces and then hand cut it out (although there is a coordinating Umbrella Weather Framelits #141479) and added it to the main layer. Cammie created the main layer using the Swirly Bird #141749 stampset and she finised by adding the sweet sentiment from the Weather Together stamp set.
Today’s card is a simple card using the adorable Swirly Bird #141749 stamp set from Stampin Up. I paired the Swirly Bird with the retired thank you stampset but any sentiment and color combination would work to make an all purpose card
Happy Labor Day! In Ohio, school has been back in session for over 3 weeks but back in the day we started after Labor Day. I made this card for my dear friend who is a 1st grade teacher that puts her heart and soul into her classroom. I started with a real red base and then layered a piece of retired Stampin Up DSP that looks like the old paper we practiced cursive writing on. I used the Thoughtful Branches #143539 stampset to stamp the grass, apples and leaves. For the sun, I used the Swirly Bird stampset #141749. To finish the tree I cut the leaves and apples with the coordinating Beautiful Branches Thinlits #143538. For the sentiment, I stamped it from the The Thoughtful Branches stampset and added a handcut banner and stapled it to the writing paper. Good luck to all the teachers and students starting a fresh new school year.
The Thoughtful Branches and the Beautiful Branches Framelits were supposed to be available only in the month of August bur Stampin Up has extended it until supplies run out. So there is still time but no way to tell how long the Bundle will last.
I went a little wild using the all the new Stampin Up in-color inks and some of the images from the Swirly Bird stampset #141749 to randomly stamp images and the rose bouquet. To add texture to the roses I added the swirl centers cut from the coordinating Swirly Scribbles Thinlits #1471497 and glimmered them up using my new found favorite tool- Wink of Stella pen #141897. The Swirly Bird and Swirly Scribbles work well together and as luck would have it Stampin Up offers them as a bundled item. When you purchase them together #142353 you can save 10%.
The Stampin Up Swirly Bird #141749 stamp set is a versatile stamp set. I randomly stamped the swirly flowers and added rhinestone centers. I finished the card with the sentiment from the now retired Million and One stampset. Quick, easy and beautiful!
