Today’s card is made using mostly new products from the Stampin Up Spring catalog. I started with a summer starfruit base and embossed it with my new favorite textured impressions folder- Honeycomb #129378. I then took 3 pieces of coordinating DSP from the Print Poetry DSP paper pack #129312 and cut them using the Labels #125598 and the Apothecary #127003 Framelits. I added the bitty butterfly #129406 and the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stampset #122497. I loved the way this turned out and I made it for my cardswaps for the sympathy swap.

Todays post is a very pretty sympathy card using the Elegant Bird die #125593 from the 2012-2013 Stampin Up Annual Catalog. The wing of the dove is textured with the elegant lines embossing folder #119277. The banner is cut using the Petal Cone die #121810 and stamped with the Loving Thoughts stamp set #125845 and accented with the Little Leaves Sizzlits #114511.
For today’s post, I used the card from the Stampin Up occasions mini as my inspiration and focused it on the baja blue flowers from the blossom builders designer printed kit #125410 to make a very elegant sympathy card. I love this blossom builder kit and wish I had purchased another kit because it would have made awesome mother’s day cards. I will add that to my list before the occasions mini runs out on April 30th.
Sorry for the shadow in this card but I did not preview the picture before I sent the card so I guess my head got in the way! Anyway I made this card as a sympathy card for a friend who recently lost her mom. This card focuses on the Take it to Heart stamp set #125522 from the occasions mini catalog that coordinates beautifully with the the hearts framelits dies #125599. Lots of coloring was done to complete this card.
The Because I Care stamp set is featured on today’s post is a sympathy card for my friend who recently lost her mother. The card is blak and white with a panel that is popped and the hydranga is colored in bashful blue and then then I punched flowers from the itty bitty punch pack and layered and popped on top of the stamped image. The card is accented with pearls and a bashful blue satin ribbon to create an elegant card.
Labels Framelits #125598, the coordinating stampset, Apothecary Art #125527. Adorning Accents textured embossing folder #125601,and Adorning Accents edgelits dies #125595.
The beauty of the framelits Dies are that you can stamp the image and then place the framelit die to see where where you’re placing the die before you cut. Each collection of the framelits ( hearts and labels) includes 6 dies that stack within one another to achieve a beautiful layering effect.
This sympathy card had a beautiful cut and textured was a breeze to create using the label framelit set and was accented with pearls to create a wonderful sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her father- in-law.
Here we go again, I needed a sympathy card- that is 2 in one week. This card was inspired by a uber talented demonstrator that I met and swapped with at convention. I tried my hand at the vellum chalking technique and realized that I need more practice but I sent the sympathy card anyhow. The recipient of this card was a man so he probably won’t notice the imperfections! (LOL). I embossed the Flower Garden folder #123113 on vellum and then chalked over the raised image to create the soft look.
I don’t know what is happening lately that I have had to make so many sympathy cards but this is one I created where it looks much better in real life. Everything to make this card is retired except for my go to embossing folder- Elegant Lines #119277. The base of the card is done in white then the embossed front is popped and accented with pearls to create a very sweet card.
The Paisley Petals paper is very pretty but the designs seem so large to use on a card. I created this sympathy card using a scrap piece of the paper. I must admit that I saw a similiar card on a blog awhile ago and filed the design in my head so I cannot give credit where credit is due (sorry) but decided to do the sympathy card when the scrap of paper was on my table. Actually all the pieces to make this card were scraps that I failed to clean up from several cards ago. How is that for lazy? Anyway I needed a sympathy card for my dear friends mom who passed away and am pleased with how it turned out and I think she will be too.
