The card layout that I used on today’s card has been trending on Pinterest and Stampin Up blogs so I decided to give it a try myself. I textured the base layer with the Layered Leaves #143704 Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The now retired Naturally Eclectic DSP was angled and then I added a double daisy punched from the Daisy Punch #143713. The sentiment was stamped on the Classic Label #141491 using the now retired [but still a favorite] Teeny Tiny Wishes.

As always I needed a masculine birthday card so I went to my go to masculine stamp set. The Stampin Up Nailed It stamp set and coordinating Build It Framelits are retired but I love them too much to stop using. I paired the stamps with the Warmth and Cheer DSP and the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create a real manly card. I added the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 stamp set to complete the card.
I have struggled with coming up with cards for my Christmas in July workshop this year and I can’t figure out why. Heck this time last year, I had all my Christmas cards designed and ready to go. Hopefully once the new Stampin Up holiday catalog comes out I will be re-inspired and finish up my 2017 cards. I have seen a sneak peek of the new catalog and it is fabulous especially the fall and Halloween products. The new catalog goes live on Sept 1 so stay tuned.
In the meantime, today’s card is a fun design that uses the Warmth and Cheer DSP from last year. I texture the right hand side using the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I hid the seam using a piece of retired cherry cobbler satin ribbon. For the holly leaves, I got creative with the Vintage Leaves #138802 stamp set and the coordinating Leaflets Framelits dies #138283 from Stampin Up. I used a 1/2 inch circle punch and red glimmer paper to make the berries. For the sentiment, I added a simple greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 and hand cut into a banner.

I absolutely love the the simplicity of the Stampin Up Detailed Floral Thinlits DIe #141482 because the result is stunning when layered on top of a piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP (retired). I added a piece of coordinating ribbon to cover the seam. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 stamp set.
Today’s card is all about the Affectionately Yours DSP #141632. I just cut 1″ strips of several of the different patterns of paper. Good thing is they all match and work well together because that is how Stampin Up designs their DSP collections. I added a piece of 5/8″ burlap ribbon to add texture. I then added a block with a flower cut from the Botanical Builder Framelits #140625 and the sentiment from the now retired Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
Happy Thanksgiving one and all. Sorry for the crooked picture. I mailed the card before I checked the quality of the picture. This card looks simple but took a lot of effort to complete because the intricate design of the leaf made cutting a challenge…. even with the Big Shot -so I just made 1.
For today’s card I used lots of leaves cut from the Paisley Framelits # 141849 and formed them in the shape of a wreath. I randomly added sequins left over from the October My Paper Pumpkin kit. I created a window using the Classic Label Punch #141491 and added the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (retired).
This is one of my favorite cards that I have made in awhile. It features the Stampin Up Serene Scenery DSP paper stack #141642 and the gorgeous hydrangea was made using the Thoughtful Branches stamp set #143539 and the coordinating Beautiful Branches Thinlits. The sentiments are the only thing that are different on these 2 cards. I used the retired Stampin Up All Boxed Up stamp set and the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.
The Thoughtful Branches and Beautiful Branches Thinlits is only available in August so just 2 more days and it will be gone. It is such a great bundle so get in now1
