Oh Boy OH Boy- How Fan{stache}tic

2015_09_09IMG_90712015_09_09IMG_9072

Today’s card is a fun interactive card I made for my friend who will be a grandma to twin boys.  I used the now retired Circle Card Framelits die for the base.  I added a piece of the Stampin Up Schoolhouse #138187 DSP. I cut the letters using the Little Letters Thinlits Dies #133730 and the Mustaches were cut using the now retired .Mustache thinlits.  The baby was just a 1″ circle punch with hand drawn face.

Twin babies will be Fan{stache}tic for grandma because she can spoil them and send them home!

Yay

2014_04_28IMG_1068

For today’s post I am super excited because although the Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration is over made today’s card using the Sweet Sorbet (now retired) DSP.  I have been involved with using Stampin Up products for about 14 years now and never once have I used up an entire paper pack.  This year for SAB I decided to only get 1 pack of the DSP and vowed to use it until it was done. I have a few scraps left but not any whole sheets.  This is big news for a paper hoarder like me.

For the card I used the Sweet Sorbet DSP as the background and for 2 of the hand cut banners.  The crisp cantaloupe  banner was textured with the Arrows textured embossing folder #132187.  I added a piece of smoky slate chevron ribbon #131152 and the yay was cut from the accent piece in the Stampin Up circle card thinlits die #133480.  I added it to a punched 1 1/4 inch circle #119861 and a scallop circle#119854 punch.

Yay!  I think we can say spring has sprung and hope May brings us lots of sunshine and flowers!

Peace on Earth Flip card

2013_12_12DSCI0435 They’ve been called flip cards, flip flop cards, swing cards, and more-but they have always been a bit tricky to create. Not anymore! Our amazing new Thinlits Card Dies cut and score to create a card that flips in just one step. Today’s post is a nice Christmas card that Cammie made using the fabulous Circle Thinlit card dies from Stampin Up # 133480. The background DSP is retired and the world stamp is from the Open Sea #123032 and mounted on a piece of silver foil sheets #132178 and embellished with various sizes of rhinestones.

2013_12_12DSCI0436 The flipside is the Peace on Earth sentiment embossed in silver.  These cards look complicated to complete but the beauty lies in the Thinlit dies and makes it a breeze.

Lovely As a Tree Flip card

2013_11_13DSCI04412013_11_13DSCI0442For todays’s card Cammie made a simple yet beautiful sympathy card featuring the  all new Stampin Up Thinlits Circle card die#133480 that cuts, scores and creates a card that flips in just 1 easy step.  How exciting and fun it was to create such a cute and interactive card in a few minutes?

The DSP used as the background paper is the Sweater Weather #132184 from the Stampin Up holiday catalog.  In complete Cammie fashion, she brayered both sides of the flipped circle  and then added trees from the Lovely As a Tree stamp set #127793 to complete her beautiful landscape.  On the inside seam she randomly stamped leaves along the spine.

The Lovely as a Tree stampset is available in the Stampin Up 2013-2014 annual catalog and is the oldest stamp in the Stampin Up product line.  The Lovely as a Tree stampset is a fabulous tree set to have in your stamp inventory.

Flipping Out for Halloween

2013_10_30DSCI04312013_10_30DSCI0432Cammie pulled out all the goodies to make this terrific interactive Halloween card.  She used the all new Stampin Up Thinlits Circle card die#133480 that cuts, scores and creates a card that flips in just 1 easy step.  How exciting and fun it was to create such a cute and interactive card in a few minutes?

Please note that the fabulous DSP that Cammie used on this card is no longer available but any DSP in your stash would do.

A classic Cammie card these days would not be complete without brayering so she brayed the outside and inside flipped circle pieces and incorporated the Best of Halloween  #134381Stampin Up stamp set.  The Best of set is one of the 12 stamp sets that Stampin Up has been introducing throughout 2013.  Each month a new set comes out that combines favorite images from the past 1/4 century and 1 new never seen before image into 1 set.  The sets are available to purchase through March 2014.  Check out all the best of Stamp sets that have been introduced to date and don’t miss out!

The thinlit circle card die is not the only thinlit card die available.  Stampin Up also sells a thinlit label die  #133479 that has the same functionality as the circle thinlit except there is a label rather than a circle flip.  Plus the accessory pieces are different too.

Flipping out for Pumkins

For today’s card2013_10_06IMG_3857 (1) I finally got around to using the all new Stampin Up Thinlits Circle card die#133480 that cuts, scores and creates a card that flips in just 1 easy step.  How exciting and fun it was to create such a cute and interactive card in a few minutes. I used the Halloween Happiness single stamp#131859 from the Stampin Up holiday catalog and used the fun polka dot parade DSP # 126902 from the annual catalog to create the outside panel.

On the flip side of the card I made a handmade pumpkin and used the sentime2013_10_06IMG_3857 (2)nt from the Halloween Happiness stamp set to make a banner.  The thinlit circle card die was something I thought I could put off buying and I did not purchase the other Thinlit Label card die before I did a trial run.  Now I plan to move the other Label card die up on my wish list!

Freakin Love you

2013_09_27DSCI04332013_09_27DSCI0434 For today’s card Cammie drew her inspiration from the card on page 37 of the 2013-2014 Stampin Up annual catalog.  She stepped it up by using used the all new Stampin Up Thinlits Circle card die#133480 that cuts, scores and creates a card that flips in just 1 easy step.  The real red cardstock was textured with the woodgrain textured folder #127821.  The flappable circle  has a heart cut from scrap DSP using the Hearts a Flutter fra, elits #130159 on the front side and the flip side has the Yippee-Skippee #131344 stampset stamped multiple times.  She finished the seam with hearts punched using the small heart #117193. Super fun and cute card.  There is also a thinlit label diecut card 133479 that is equally as cute.
