The birthday cards really piled in for my birthday. This card is one of the seven cards that I received for my birthweek from my sister Cammie. It is sparkling from the beautiful Glimmer paper that is free right now during the Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration. From now until the March 31st you can earn free products from the Sale-a-bration catalog (while supplies last) for every $ 50 spent in Stampin Up merchandise. The stamp sets used on this card are Big on Birthdays # 142877 and Labeler Alphabet #141936 from Stampin Up. The glimmer flowers were punched from the Tree Builder Punch #138295 and then she added rhinestone centers colored with a black Sharpie to add some extra pizzazz!

Stake Your Claim
I really dig the Stampin Up No Bones About it #138756 stampset that I used to make this card. I have used this set for every dinosaur lover young and old on my card list. The dinosaurs were embossed using white embossing powder. For the bones I used pieces of the Tree Builder punch #138295 buried beneath the mound of dirt. I added a fun pick stamped using the Stake your claim #139447 stamp set and cut using the coordinating Handpicked Framelits #137361 to mark the treasures! The sentiment was from the No Bones About stamp set and was the perfect choice to complete this “dino-mite” card.

Snow days and snowmen
Today I decided to post a cheerful snowy day card for all our friends and family on the east coast and midatlantic are who are still buried beneath record amounts of snow. Although this card was one of Cammie’s Christmas cards that I never got around to posting I thought it was cute enough to post for a snowy Jan. Just remove the sentiment and it works. This card features the now retired Snowy Day Stampin Up stamp set. For the snowmans arms, Cammie hand drew the branch and then added the birds punched from the Stampin Up Tree Builder Punch #138295. Cammie finished the card by hand tearing a strip of whisper white cardstock to make snow mounds.

Little Reindeer Games
No Christmas is complete with out a few reindeer games. I created a textured snowy background using the Stampin Up Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #139672. For the cute reindeer, I used several Stampin Up punches including the owl builder punch#118074, Tree Builder #138295, Fun Flower #133785, Extra Large Oval #119859 and various size circle punches. I finished the card by randomly scattering rhinestones to bling it up!

For the background DSP, I used a piece of the Cherry on Top Designers Series paper stack #138443. Bokeh Sprinkles of Life
The Bokeh Technique is all the rage right now and Cammie did a nice job with it on both of the cards on today’s post. “Bokeh” is a photography term for the way a camera lens renders out of focus points of light and is one of the hottest visual trends in design right now. And paper crafters have taken a hold of this and termed the process for creating this illusion with ink and paper the “bokeh technique.” The bokeh technique generally is a circle of chaos of various blurred circles.
Cammie created her Bokeh backgrounds and then used the Stampin Up Sprinkles of Life #139971 photopolymer stamp set to show case the Bokeh effect. The first card is a layer intensive card using the paper tea lace Doilies #129399 and then Window Framelits (no longer available) and then a circle textured with the Decorative Dots #133520. The cupcake was stamped using the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and then each piece was cut using the coordinating Tree Builder Punch #138295. Cammie added the sentiment on a hand cut banner.
For the second card Cammie used the same color scheme for her Bokeh technique and the same Sprinkles of life stamp and coordinationg Tree Builder Punch to make a muli layered icecream cone.
