Krafty Tree

2015_12_07IMG_9124

I love Kraft paper and last year I stocked up on the Stampin Up Under the Tree DSP Christmas paper so I pulled it out this year and created lots of layers and shapes using the DSP.  I even used a scrap for the tree using the Stampin Up Tree Punch #135859 with a Red Foil #139607punched star #133787  The sentiment was stamped on to a Washi Label #138296 Punched piece.

Simply Santa-Buckeye Style

2014_12_22IMG_6101 - Copy Today’s post is a simple one using the Santa Stache #135035 stamp set from the Stampin Up Holiday catalog.  I randomly stamped the background using the snowflake stamp from the November 2014 My paper pumpkin kit. I then added 2 banners cut from the Banners Framelits #132173. I then added the hand cut out santa and the coordinating Mustache Framelit #133741 to complete my Ohio State Buckeye santa card.

2014_12_23IMG_6100 - CopyMy second and my favorite card this season was my Stache-ing through the snow card using just 2 mustaches and a Jumbo pearl colored with a Stampin Up Blendability marker.  For the background DSP I used a piece of the Under the Tree DSP #135825.

More Festive Trees

2014_12_21 - Copy Today I am posting 2 more cards that I made using the Festival of Trees #135059 stamp set from the  Stampin Up holiday catalog.  For the first card, I used the Under the Tree DSP #135825 as the background and the main panel.  I then stamped 5 trees punched them out with the Stampin Up tree punch #135859, trimmed them and stacked them to make a fun and eclectic tree.  I added a wrap of cherry cobbler bakers twine and some doodling to complete the fun look.

2014_12_21MG_5724 (2) - CopyFor My second card, I made a tree shaker in my favorite pink and green Christmas color combo. The end result was my favorite Christmas card that I made this season.  I used the On Point textured folder #135876 and then punched a tree using the tree punch to create a window frame for the shaker.  I added a tree stamped with the Festival of Trees stamp set and added the in color sequins #133631 and a window sheet.  This card is perfect for an interactive and fun card.

Under the Tree

2014_12_06IMG_5319My #1 favorite thing in the Stampin Up Holiday catalog is the Under the Tree DSP #135835.  This paper is so yummy because it is cardstock weight kraft sheets with color print on one side and white printed patterns on the other. I used the paper as star accents and cut them using the Star Framelits #133723.  I paired the DSP with real red and garden green cardstock and embossed it with the Lucy Stars Textured Impressions  Embossing Folder #135817.  The large star is anchor to the sentiment and the super cute snowflake Frosted Sequin #135835.

Ultimate Advent Calendar

IMG_6075 I made this advent countdown to Christmas calendar for my friend who has an early December birthday and loves Christmas.  This project was so fun to make and it features the 25 Days #135041 stamp set and the Under the Tree #135825 Specialty DSP from the Stampin Up holiday catalog and a whole bunch of other Stampin Up dies, punches and other embellishments.  The foundation of the advent calendar is a mini muffin pan and each day has a special treat and a clue to open a package each day through Christmas.

IMG_6076 This project was super fun to create because I knew my friend would love it and love to play along each day.    I will post some of the cute handmade items in the special packages that she will be opening through out the month. For the wrapped presents, I used the wonderful Stampin Up Festive Designer Kraft Paper Rolls.  The Stampin Up wrapping paper coordinated nicely with the Under the Tree DSP used on the advent calendar proving that more is definitely more!

Jingle Jingle

2014_10_15IMG_5353 Today’s post features a Jingle card and  matching ornament using mostly new products from the Stampin Up holiday catalog. Both the card and the ornament use the Under the Tree Specialty DSP # 135825.  This 12″ X 12″ paper is wonderful because it is cardstock weight kraft paper with color print on one side and white print on the other.  For the card I used the Little Letters Thinlits #133730 to cut the word JINGLE on the card front.   I added a thin strip of coordinating Under the Tree DSP to highlight the word. I added a piece of the 1″ Cherry Cobbler Sheer Linen Ribbon #135839 and then scrunched it in the middle to add a little jingle bell tied off with a piece of Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twin #123125.  The card front is added to a kraft cardstock base #133674.  I added a little star punched from the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents #133787 and a basic rhinestone to dot the I!

To make the ornament /gift tag, I used the Under the Tree Specialty DSP and cut 2 circles using the Circle Framelits #130911 and popped the top circle to the bottom one.  I punched a tree punched from the Under the Tree Specialty DSP and the Tree Punch #135859. I added the leftover Little Letters to a piece of the 1″ Cherry Cobbler Sheer Linen Ribbon cut into a banner. The tree was topped with a star and a basic rhinestone. I finished the ornament with a piece if Thick Bakers Twine and a big jingle bell and it is ready to hang from the tree.
