Cammie provides cards to several shops in the Tulsa and the wedding cards are very popular but one of Cammie’s biggest challenges. Today’s card uses the Love and Laughter #125477 stampset that Cammie embossed in white powder on real red cardstock. Please note, Cammie reproduced this card using several popular wedding colors. The whisper white card front layer was textured using the beautiful but now retired Elegant Lines embossing folder.

For today’s card, Cammie drew inspiration from the card featured on page 39 of the 2012-2013 Stampin Up Annual catalog. The card background DSP is from the Brights Collection Paper Pack #117155 and edged with the Scalloped edge border punch #118402 in whisper white. The new Mr and Mrs Stamp #126663 stamp is layered on a piece of Gray DSP cut from the Apothecary Accents Framelits #127003. The card is accented with layered whisper white flowers punched with the Boho blossoms punch #119858.
Although we did not attend the Stampin Up convention in Salt Lake City this week, we followed the action through the Stampin Up demonstrators website. Stampin Up announce some exciting news about an upcoming promotion for MDS and finally committed to the release date for MDS2 software. August 1 is the date to purchase the new software that is filled with over 75 upgrades including conversion to svg cutting files. WOO HOO.
PLUS for the entire month of August Stampin Up is offering 31% off select printable products. With that being said, today’s card is an MDS hybrid card that I designed for a friends wedding. The card front was designed in MDS and printed and then I added it to a card base and “blinged it up”.
Happy wedding day to my adorable newphew Kyle and his beautiful bride, Jess! I created a simple and elegant card for their wedding. I love the unusual color sheme of their wedding- Pumpkin Pie and Tempting turquoise. Card is textured with the elegant lines embossing folder and the simple letters alphabet (on the retiring list). I added the key tag and pleated the pumpkin pie satin ribbon (retired list). Card is finished with rhinestone bling that I turned pumpkin pie-ish with an orange Sharpie marker.
Todays card focuses on the frame from the Elementary Elegance stamp set #125122 that is free with a $50 order during Stampin Up’s sale- a- bration. This card uses the elementary fact that black and white are elegant and this card shows that fact in deed. The DSP is from the Neturals paper stack #117157 and then uses the decorative label punch cut in half from the silver glimmer paper #124005. The pennant is created from a whisper white base and then a basic black pennant textured using the square lattice texture folder #119976. The frame is embossed on black using silver embossing powder #109131. The sentiment from the Word play stamp set #120651 is embossed in silve on white and layered perfectly inside the black frame that is cut out and popped for dimension. To complete the elegant look Cammie finished the card with various sizes of Basic Rhinestone bling #119246.

All the whisper white card stock on this beauty is embossed using the Elegant Bouquet textured embossing folder #115964 and is finshied with a bow from the 5/8″ Organza ribbon and then accented with a Filigree brad #112577 and a large pearl #125577 from the occasions mini catalog. The sentiment is from the Word Play #120651 stamp set and is embossed in silver to create a keepsake wedding card.
Today’s post is a real wowzer to kick off the month of love. Recently our friend and fellow blogger, Kim Morris, got engaged and Cammie wanted to create a special one of a kind engagement card. Every bride knows that it is all about the dress so being the seamstress that Cammie is she created a delicate beauty featuring the paper doily die #125592 from the Stampin Up occasions mini catalog. The bodice of the dress is punched from the full heart punch #119883 and then layed the die cut doily to fit on top of the bodice. The skirt consists of 3 tiers of the remaining doily and layered vellum underneath to create a tulle-ing effect. The dress was delicately beaded with pearls #119247 and a sash was created from the white organza ribbon #114319 and finished with Jumbo pearl #125577 (from the new occasions mini) broach at the waist. The dress was mounted on black polka dot DSP from the Stampin Up neutrals stack #117157. The sentiment is from the wordplay stamp set #120651 and embossed with white embossing powder and layered on top of a blushing bride cardbase. A rhinestone bling finsihes the ring in the I do!
Congratulations Kim and good luck finding the perfect dress!
In anticipation of my first trip to Manhattan, I am posting my CASE of a card I received at convention. I love this wedding card and the creative use of the Manahattan embossing folder. If you look closely the dress shape ‘pops ” out of the embossed design. I embossed the Manhattan Flower #114517 folder 2 times, once on vellum and then on Whisper White cardstock. I cut the dress shape out and then layered the vellum on top and tied with the 5/8″ organza ribbon #114319. The Happy I do day from the Wordplay stamp set #120651 finishes this elegant card complete with rhinestone bling.
