Bohemian Shadow Box

2015_07_22IMG_8781For todays post I took 2 of my favorite things (Beautiful Stampin Up DSP and Origami paper folding to create a shadowbox for my sentinment from the World Treasures, a now retired stampset. The Bohemian #138446 DSP is from the new 2015-2016 Stampin catalog and since the papers both in the same line they coordinate beautifully together.

This card was featured at my last months all about DSP workshop and was the favorite card of the bunch because I introduced the fun and simple origami shadowbox fold.

International Bazaar Birthday

Today’s card is an adorable birthday card that Cammie made that features a swatch of the International Bazaar DSP #126920.  She also cut out the feathers from the DSP and randomly scattered them on the midnight muse textured with the chevron embossing folder #127749. The bird is stamped using the  world treasures #126767 and hand cut and popped onto an oval to create a darling accent.

Simply Masculine

Today’s post is a very simple masculine card that Cammie made using the World Treasures stamp set from the 2012-2013 Stampin Up Annual catalog.  I like to call this the Mr. Clean look! Sometimes the simple and clean look is best especially when you need to make a last minute card.  The best way to achieve the simple and clean look is to go with the whisper white on whisper white and add a splash of color.  Go ahead and give it a try.  Send me your clean and simple cards and I will post them on the blog.

International Bazaar

Today’s post is one that Cammie made to showcase her favorite DSP from the 2012-2013 Stampin Up annual catalog.  Like all of Stampin Up’s DSP collections all the papers work well together and when you match the DSP with the coordinating cardstock, inks and ribbons you have all the ingredients to make a great card.  The International Bazaar DSP #126940 is no exception and the layering on this card makes it work into the masterpiece that it is.  The stamped images and sentiments come from the World Treasures stamp set #126767 and makes a great masculine friendship card.

Faithful Friend

The Kiss (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle is the layout that Cammie went with for today’s masculine card post.  The whisper white card front is textured with the Fancy Fan Folder 3127751.  The DSP is from Cammie’s favorite collection- International Bazaar#126920.  The 3 accents are cut from the new Apothecary accents framelits #127003 and the sentiment is from the World Treasures stampset #126767 and adorned with the naturals buttons #127554 to create this masuline look.

As a side note… the sentiment “one who finds a faithful friend finds a treasure” speaks volumes to me and is the main reason that I purchased this set.

World Treasures

Today’s post is a beautiful card that Cammie created using the peacock stamp from the World Treasures stamp set #126767.  Cammie stamped the image several times in all 5  of the new 2012-2014 Stampin Up In colors (gumball green, raspberry ripple, summer starfruit, amd primrose petals).  She then cut, layered and popped the tailfeathers to create a brilliant look.  The finished peacock is adorned with rhinestones colored with a Copic marker to match the the midnight muse. The raspberry ripple card base is textured with the new Fancy Fan Folder #127751 and accented with stamped image from the four frames stamp set #123442 and punched with the coordinating decorative label punch #120907.  What  a beautiful card to jumpstart the fall season.

World Treasure

When the new 2012-2013 Annual Catalog came out, the World Treasures stamp set #126767 was on top of my list.  I think I was drawn to the sentiment and did not realize that the peacock had so many layering opportunites.  It took some getting used to but I am glad I purchased this set but when paired with the International Bazaar DSP #126920  and the Fancy Fan Folder #127751the finished card was beautiful enough to send to a dear friend on her birthday.

Fine Feathers

Cammie and I are not going to the Stampin Up convention this year  😦 but Cammie is going to the Michelle Zindorf brayer class in Lawrence Kansas. Michelle is a fellow Stampin Up demonstrator and brayer extraordinaire!  So to get ready for her brayer classes, Cammie dusted off her brayer and went to work and created this fabulous “peacock”  floating feathers card.  This card showcases the all new Fine Feathers stampset #126517 and the expression is from the all new World Treasures stampset #126767.  Cammie’s canvas started out as a blank sheet of whisper white cardstock that she lightly brayered using bashful blue ink.  The peacock feathers were then stamped with black Stazon Ink and then colored using Aqua Painters with Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Soft Suede, and Elegant Eggplant ink. She did not stop there,  Cammie layered a piece of basic black cardstock and edged it with the all new delicate designs textured embossing folder #127023 and finished the edge with the Large scallop edgelits die #127019 and sprayed the vanilla shimmers smooch spritz #118772 on the black scalloped piece.  Before mounting the peacock feathers piece onto the black cardstock,Cammie used the Stampin Up spritzing tool #10706 and an Island Indigo marker to randomly spritz the feathered piece and then toned down the whole peacock feather piece with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. Finally, She stamped the sentiment using the World Treasures stamp set and then cut it out the Big shot and apothecary accents framelits dies # 127003 and then used a black marker to outline the die cut image.  Then mounted that on Gumball Green and hand cut the shape.  The best part is that I received this masterpiece and prootype in the mail.
